Building Bright Futures
This exchange brings together educators from around the world to examine how technology—including artificial intelligence and other innovative digital tools—can be used to enhance English language teaching across a range of educational settings. The program emphasizes learner-centered design, responsible technology use, and adaptability for low-, medium-, and high-resource environments. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, reflection, and project development throughout their time at Kent State.
During the program, participants will:

explore emerging technologies and their applications in English language teaching

examine ethical issues such as privacy, bias, and responsible AI use
-
design authentic, technology-enhanced language learning experiences
-
visit schools, innovation spaces, and community sites
-
collaborate with peers, faculty, and program staff
-
develop a final instructional action plan for use in their home institutions
By the end of the exchange, participants will leave with:

practical strategies for technology-enabled English instruction

stronger skills in evaluating and adapting digital tools

methods for ethical decision-making related to educational technology

experience using no-cost and low-cost tools in meaningful ways

a completed technology-enhanced instructional action plan

a professional network of international colleagues and Kent State partners
